ELECTRONICS

MANUFACTURING EQUIPMENT

Western Robotics is equipped with a full line of electronic PCB assembly prototyping equipment to satisfy small to medium custom contract manufacturing, as well as production of Western Robotics' featured products.  All necessary equipment include soldering / rework stations, solder stencil printer, automated pick and place machine, reflow conveyor oven and visual inspection machines.

SMT SOLDER PASTE PRINTER

The stencil printer is part of the first stage of the SMT assembly process - applying solder paste or adhesive to the board assembly.  Western Robotics'  uses an semi-automated stencil printer with camera vision alignment that has a rugged, accurate repeatable design that allows for quick and easy stencil changeovers; and handles both tubular framed stencils and frameless foil stencils.

SMT Pick and Place Machine

AUTOMATED PICK & PLACE MACHINE

The Automated pick & place machine with camera vision alignment offer low cost solutions for low to medium volume surface mount placement applications.  Fully automated machines allow for quick set-up, ease of operation and high reliability.

A manual pick & place benchtop machine is also available for the odd shape components that are more complex for an automated system to place.

REFLOW CONVEYOR OVEN

Western Robotics' equipped a inline reflow oven suitable for all soldering applications.  This oven uses a patented heating  technology that provides even heating on the entire PCB panel for a proper reflow process eliminating hot spots.

PCB DEPANELING EQUIPMENT

PCB depaneling equipment is important to avoid welding spot cracking and stress on populated surface mount components when in the process of separating panelized v-scored PCB boards.  Western Robotics PCB depaneling equipment allows the PCB remain stable when V-CUTTING the panelized board without bending the circuit boards with the aid of a round rotating knife cutting against a lower linear knife.  This ensures panel separation without stress on the assembled sensitive components and at the same time providing operator safety while cutting.
